What is Legal Liability for Supervisors training, and why is it important?
This training is specifically designed to equip supervisors and managers with a clear understanding of their personal and organisational legal duties under the OHS Act. It defines what 'legal liability' means for a supervisor – i.e., the risk of being held personally responsible (criminally or civilly) if a workplace incident occurs due to negligence or failure to enforce safety measures. We strongly recommend that this training be taken alongside practical risk management courses, as it teaches you how to read, interpret, and correctly apply legislation in your daily supervisory duties.
Is this course fully compliant with South African legislation?
Yes. The course content is based on the current Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and its regulations, ensuring you receive up‑to‑date legal knowledge.
What happens if I fail the assessment?
Should you not achieve the 65% pass mark, you will have one opportunity to rewrite the assessment at no additional cost. If the second attempt is unsuccessful, you will receive a certificate of attendance rather than a full certificate, and you will need to re‑register for the course to obtain the full certificate.
